The Land aan Zee community is growing

Our buildings may have only just become windproof, but Land aan Zee already came alive in the minds and hearts of our fast-growing community this summer. Looking back on this special summer, the warm glow from the barrier at Neeltje Jans gives us a warm feeling of gratitude. Gratitude for all the contacts and visits that have already taken place at the Meeldijk. We are happy to give you an update!

62 people by our side

No less than 62 people have already signed up to contribute a piece to the story of Land aan Zee. They are all pioneers, enterprising spirits, people who want to contribute to a warm world of reciprocity, love and care. They are therapists, coaches, meditation leaders, healthcare experts, yoga teachers and sympathisers. Thanks to the large number of interesting conversations, it is becoming more and more clear how we want to start up with the Land aan Zee Foundation. And we would like to share that with you!

Everyone adds a little something

• There will be a core team to get everything started. People committed for a few months to get to know the centre and get it 'up and running'. We will live together the same way we'll also live together with our guests. With attention to ourselves, each other and the place. Also, the managers will be a part of the core team. They will work and live with us for at least one, hopefully more years. Land aan Zee will become their house and their home.
• The managers are not alone but will be supported by temporary guests who will come and lend a hand for at least 1 month, but preferably 3-4 months. These are people who love being part of our community, will stay in this beautiful place, work and have fun with us, and support us a few hours a day for a small contribution for board and lodging. We are building cosy studios for them to really feel at home.
• During the Land aan Zee weeks we will invite two experts or friends of LAZ who join the group for a few moments a day in an in-depth conversation, coaching session or an exercise appropriate to the theme. For the rest, they are equally part of the group and can enjoy the retreat for a small fee for board and lodging. It is heart-warming to see that our list of special guests keeps growing! We receive daily calls from unexpected quarters and get to know wonderful people. 

• And then there is the contact with the people from the neighbourhood who are already bringing the project to life, encourage us and offer to help us where needed.

Next summer, we will organise some moments for everyone who has signed up and really wants to commit to sharing their time and talent with us. We will then search together for a daily rhythm that will become the guiding principle for future weeks. A daily rhythm where everyone can find themselves in their own way and catch their breath.

We will also strengthen each other, inspire and honour the place. No doubt these will be two weeks of new ideas, new encounters and a promising start for the many weeks to come. I can't wait to meet you all and land together... at sea.
