A unique haven of silence
You will find Land aan Zee in the quiet outskirts of Burgh-Haamstede (NL), near the Oosterschelde and a stone's throw from the endless beaches of Schouwen Duiveland.
The whole area is bustling with life: you can hear the owls calling, observe the geese in large flocks flying over, the wind playing through the dune grass and the swallows twittering past the house. The endless vistas make you dream. And apart from that, it is so quiet here. At night you will be amazed by the starry sky and the well-preserved darkness on the island.
A stunning environment
There are also nearby cozy seaside resorts, endless beaches, small villages with stores, markets, restaurants and other amenities.
Within walking distance is the small harbor of Burghsluis. Here you can take a refreshing dip in the Oosterschelde or stare for hours at the play of birds, wind, clouds, waves and windblown sand. Before you know it, you feel yourself grounding and turning inward.
In Westenschouwen, only 4km from here, you'll find the famous 'Dominale Bossen' that spill over into the dunes and finally onto the beach. You can enjoy cycling and visit cozy seaside towns, walk along the beach, or visit picturesque villages with markets, restaurants and shops.

A classic Zeeland agricultural barn, located next to farmhouse 'Mon Plaisir' was restored with care in 2022. The new adjacent barns exude the same tranquility and authenticity. Large windows allow the endless vistas to penetrate your soul. An openness that carries you along as you look at yourself and as you talk to other guests.
